The delay in getting rooms ready was quite frustrating!!! Improved communication regarding meal timings and the need for better maintenance of facilities would enhance the experience immensely!!!

The four-poster bed in our room was so cozy, and we loved the beautiful views of the dales. Dinner was a standout, with unique dishes like sticky beef ribs that blew us away. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to unwind after a day exploring the area. Plus, the hand-pulled ales were on point!

i really loved how easy it was to explore beautiful landmarks, like the stunning Aysgarth Falls which is only about 1 km away, and the Aysgarth Edwardian Rock Garden just a few steps from the hotel, making my city strolls feel very rewarding and enjoyable.

I had a lovely stay. The four-poster bed was very comfortable. Breakfast had plenty of choices and was well made. The atmosphere was cozy, perfect for relaxation. The location is great for exploring local attractions. 😊

The Deluxe King Room was spacious and comfortable, providing a warm retreat. breakfast was served lukewarm, detracting from what could have been a delightful start to the day. the traffic noise from the main road was noticeable at times, which might disrupt light sleepers.

I chose George & Dragon for a short getaway. Upon arrival, the check-in was delayed, as the pub opened only at 4 PM. This delay made starting our stay a tad inconvenient. The room was a Deluxe King Room, but there were issues right from the start. The kettle in the room had a broken lid, and the shower grout was pretty grimy with mold, which was a letdown. the bed was quite comfortable, and the room appeared clean aside from the shower. Dining in the restaurant was a mixed bag. The food offered on both nights was fresh and flavorful, especially the Steak and Ale Pie. It took a while for our food to arrive, but patience paid off with a good meal each time. Breakfast was where it faltered again, served lukewarm both mornings. The noise from the traffic outside affected our sleep, particularly in the early hours. While the bar staff were friendly and accommodating, the initial encounter with the elderly lady at check-in left much to be desired.

Make sure to check the pub opening hours in advance to avoid waiting without service, especially if you arrive early.

I had a brilliant two-night stay! The steak was superbly cooked, the breakfast was top-notch, especially the sausages, and the atmosphere was cozy. I'd definitely come back.
